Designing the Fall Collection

Posted by liz joy on

Our fall collection is almost here and it has us so excited to carry Marea into the cooler temps of the season.

Fall I Collection

This fall, we are launching a series of collections throughout the months of September, October and November, designed with a color palette inspired by the deeper hues that the autumn season brings. The darker, more muted teal tones represent our favorite vision of the ocean, of renewal and calmness - a perfect homage to the new season. The muted peach tones and richer shades of blush are reminiscent of the changing colors we see in nature. The sunsets are more vibrant, the leaves change, and we embrace the coziness of being close to one another wrapped in our favorite garments.

We wanted this collection to take you from early fall well into winter. We aimed to do that by creating various silhouettes and separate pieces. Our silhouettes in this collection contain dresses in various lengths, both short sleeve and long sleeve, and we've included our very first jacket and knit collection! Our separates are designed to be worn together and apart to allow you to mix and match with your favorite cold weather staples.

This collection was designed by Liz and her team in Fairfield, Connecticut and ethically made at our partner factory in India. We take pride in being a small design house, female founded, and our ethical female founded partners in India. When possible, our materials are made of organic cottons and all of our prints are hand blocked in Jaipur. The woodblocking process is an ancient art form of India, and is the slowest and most traditional form of textile design in fashion.

We hope you love our fall collection, we designed it with so much love to make you feel beautiful, elegant, comfortable and chic.

Xo, Liz
